I shrieked, screamed, and jumped in joy!
No more Jane… and no she did not resign.. Stubborn woman!
**Edited** Jane was terminated, in another word, FIRED.
At least we got what we wanted!!!! Got GREAT End Result for ALL!!! Students can go back to their studies and professors can resume their classes back to normal.. Those hunger strikers can drink and eat again… BoT can stop worrying about getting volumes and volumes of emails, phone calls, and letters…
I can imagine how the atomosphere at Gallaudet must been like as of this moment. Celebrations, Hugs, and Real Smiles all around. I would love to fly there and join em all! October 29th is the Night of Hugs, when we found out the president-designate Jane K. Fernandes was terminated. Honestly, it was a big surprise..

There is a total of 7 protesters on the hunger strike for 15th day. They have been drinking lots of water, chicken broth and V8 juice however they recently stopped drinking nothing but water.
As planned, on the 30th of October, they will stop drinking altogether if Janes refuses to resign.
Let’s hope we will get good end result before any one of them get hospitalized from dehydration and starvation.

I suggest you to go to Ridorlive.com and read a certain blog about one member of Board of Trustees. One protestor did a sit out at Dr. Humphries’ office (he’s a professor at University of California at San Diego) and had an interesting interview with him. It’s a good read!

a vlog by paul LeDrew stating about the separation of two languages (English and ASL). The usage of these languages must be kept separated as possible to allow the fluidity of one language.
As many of you know that Jane K. Fernandes supports the concept of Sim-Com and does not keep a secret about mainstreaming two languages at Gallaudet. That’s her purest intention of her to stay at Gallaudet to change the university for the Deaf to more mainstreaming environment. We mustn’t allow that, if we allowed that, we would have lost the world’s only university for the Deaf. We should feel extremely grateful that we do have a university JUST FOR DEAF! I mean, how rare is that???
